Authentication process
Every pair is received, authenticated and condition-graded by the Grail Nation team before it’s paid out, traded or listed. Here’s what happens once your box arrives.
STEP 1
Intake
Every box is logged the moment it arrives.
- Packing-slip barcode scanned and matched to your submission
- Box and pairs photographed on arrival
- Pair, size and style code checked against what you submitted
- You can follow every step in your portal
STEP 2
Authentication
Each pair is checked by hand by our team.
- Shape, materials, stitching and finishing
- Size tag, production details and style code
- Insoles, footbed and outsole details
- Box label, fonts and SKU
- Compared against verified retail references
STEP 3
Grade & decision
Condition is graded and the result goes to your portal.
- Condition graded: DS, Special, Tried On, Lightly, Moderately or Heavily Worn
- Any flaws photographed and sent to you in Messages
- Offer confirmed, adjusted for condition, or the pair is returned
- Pairs that fail authentication are returned at the seller’s expense
Results
- Passes: your offer is confirmed and you’re paid, credited, or your trade pairs ship out.
- Condition differs from your submission: we message you with photos and a revised offer to accept or decline.
- Fails authentication: the pair is returned at your expense, as agreed when you submitted.
